Los Angeles —  Today, St. John’s Community Health announced an uptick in vaccinations, largely due to the recently approved second boosters for those over 50. This week, they’ve been vaccinating up to 400 people per day.

They also noted that positivity rates are up from 0-2 percent last week. This week, on some days up to 4 percent of tests done at their clinics have been positive.

“We are keeping a close eye on positive rates while simultaneously continuing to work to reach elementary aged children for their first shots and people over 50 for their second boosters,” said Jim Mangia, president and CEO of St. John’s Community Health. “We must continue to tackle COVID-19 with preventative measures, treatment, and a continued commitment to public education and outreach – especially to communities who face barriers to health care.”
