Welcome to St. John’s Community Health
We provide medical, dental, pediatric, behavioral and mental health and support services in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties to low-income, uninsured, and publicly-insured individuals and families in our health centers and mobile clinics. Our mission is to improve community health and reduce health disparities by delivering high quality, comprehensive services and impacting health and social policy.
We Need Your Voice!
St. John’s Community Health is excited to announce plans for a new “Community Resilience Center” in South LA. Located next to our Avalon clinic, this new space will become the Avalon Health Access and Resilience Center, expanding the services we offer in the area. We want to hear from you! Come to our public meeting to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share your ideas on how this center can best serve your community.
St. John’s response to proposal by Governor Newsom to make deep cuts to Medi-Cal: “We are deeply disappointed in the Governor’s proposal. St. John’s Community Health has spent decades making sure everyone has access to essential health care. I can tell you what will happen under this proposal: hundreds of thousands of Californians will lose their health care. And some will die. We’re talking about our neighbors who work low-wage jobs, support their families, and constantly decide between paying bills or putting food on the table. Health care was the one thing they could count on being there in case they got seriously sick or injured. This is not something we can backslide on; the impact will be devastating.”
