Los Angeles —  In response to the CDC’s warning that Mpox could rebound this summer and after seeing multiple cases at their clinics within the last two weeks, St. John’s Community Health will offer Mpox vaccinations at this weekend’s Pride festival in downtown Los Angeles.

WHO: St. John’s Community Health

WHAT: Vaccinations against and information about preventing the spread of Mpox

WHERE: LA State Historic Park (1245 N Spring St), booth #38.

WHEN: Friday, June 9th, 3-9pm; Saturday, June 10th, 1-9pm (in collaboration with the Imperial Court)

Two weeks ago, St. John’s began reaching out directly to patients at greatest risk of contracting the virus to encourage updated vaccination. The public health network urges eligible populations who have only received one shot or have yet to get vaccinated against Mpox to book an appointment as soon as possible.

Last year, St. John’s administered over 10,000 Mpox vaccines after investing nearly $100,000 into advertising; working alongside government officials and the Department of Public Health; partnering with local LGBTQ+, HIV, and racial justice organizations; and holding events at local bars, events, and community spaces.
