Los Angeles — St. John’s Community Health is continuing to prioritize vaccinations, now focusing on getting as many flu shots administered as possible before winter sets in. So far, they have vaccinated over 6,200 people for the flu.

Meanwhile, they have administered nearly 10,000 MPX vaccines and have seen no new cases of the virus in the last two weeks. They are also continuing to administer around 100 bivalent COVID-19 vaccines per day, and have seen the positivity rate drop significantly.

“We are currently breathing a sigh of relief, with COVID-19 and MPX rates low and flu season not yet in full swing,” said Jim Mangia, president and CEO of St. John’s Community Health. “The next few months will be critical for public health – we need to get as many people as possible vaccinated against the flu and with the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine as possible. Meanwhile, we are continuing to do outreach around MPX so communities currently at risk are well equipped to prevent its spread.”
