Los Angeles —  Today, St. John’s Community Health announced that in light of the CDC recently approving an additional booster shot for those over 50, they will be doing direct outreach to everyone in that age group who has been vaccinated at their clinics.

Additionally, in anticipation of the newest variant causing COVID-19 cases to go up in Los Angeles, they will be adding two more testing sites.

St. John’s will also continue to participate in the Test to Treat initiative, meaning they will provide rapid antigen tests and provide treatment for those who test positive on the spot.

“It’s important that those over the age of 50 – who are at greater risk of serious illness from COVID-19 – know they are newly eligible for an additional booster,” said Jim Mangia, president and CEO of St. John’s Community Health. “It’s the responsibility of trusted health providers to help provide our communities with updated and accurate information as it pertains to their health and safety.”
