We provide free and low-cost dental services to patients of all ages. We refer patients with specialty dental care needs to a network of specialists in Los Angeles. Our priority is early prevention and early treatment for oral health conditions.

Our Dental Clinic Offers:

  • Periodontal therapy (deep cleaning)

  • Restorations (fillings for children and adults)

  • Extractions (tooth removal)

  • Fluoride application

  • Dentistry for children

  • Emergency dental care

  • Oral cancer screening

  • Teeth cleaning

  • Sealants

  • Digital radiograph (x-rays)

  • Caries (tooth decay) risk assessment, education, and treatment

  • Tele-dentistry

  • Silver diamine fluoride

There were 58,416 dental visits at St. John’s clinics in 2021.

Patient Resources

At St. John’s, anyone is eligible to receive services, no matter their ability to pay. We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare and many other insurance plans. We have benefits counselors at all of our health centers to help patients determine their eligibility for insurance programs. For uninsured patients we offer services on a sliding scale cash basis. We offer Pharmacy, prescription and Laboratory services including: Senior programs, Public-Private Partnership, Sliding Fee Scale Pharmacy Programs, diagnostic and laboratory procedures, HIV and STD testing and more. Our Dispensaries offer prescription services to enrolled clinic patients.

St. John’s is grateful for grant support received from L.A. Care Health Plan’s Oral Health Initiative, which addresses the crisis of “dental deserts” by helping clinics recruit and retain board-certified dentists and hygienists, increasing oral health access for low-income and vulnerable populations in Los Angeles.
